Celebrating Patient Endurance

Celebrating Patient Endurance

July 13, 2014

Michael Jensen

The Christian life is not a sprint to the finish line. There are so many illustrations in the scriptures of God using a considerable length of time to fashion his servants to fulfil his eternal purposes. Christians are called to a life of patient endurance which leads to joyful celebrations. The life of David, the man after God’s own heart, is characterised by lengthy periods of patient endurance which lead to truly remarkable celebrations. This is most pronounced when David was crowned king of all Israel.
