Opening Service, September 11th 2016 Our prayer is that this church is a place where Jesus will be made known and where people would find refuge in the midst of the storms that are coming on this earth. To do this, we need a church that is conformed to God’s Word.

This world is consumed with what is material, but God tells us we should not seek after these things. Instead we are commanded to seek His Kingdom and righteousness. He promises to satisfy us and provide all that we need.

This world will not satisfy. Jesus instructs us to store up treasures in His heavenly kingdom, which will last for eternity. Let us set our eyes on things above and not on this world, which is passing away.

Sexual immorality is a serious matter in God’s eyes. He created our sexuality for a purpose. Jesus said if a man even looks at a woman with lust in his heart, he has committed adultery. We need to be free from sin, so that we can be full of the love of God in our hearts.

Jesus raises the standard when it comes to murder. The words that come out of our mouths have great power. How many times have we murdered others with the words we have spoken? Let us allow God to search us and purify our hearts, so that we can truly love one another.
