Simeon’s diagnosis – heart surgery required

“Now there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon, and this man was righteous and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him.” Luke 2:25

Simeon knew what the real problem was. It was not the political leadership in Israel or the Romans who were oppressing them. It was the human heart, corrupted by sin and needing to be set free. The only way to receive this freedom is to allow Jesus to give you a heart transplant.
