Jesus heart was for his disciples to believe that he came to die for their sins and rise from the dead on the third day. However, his disciples did not understand what he had said to them. When he appeared, he showed them his hands and side as marks of his suffering for them. But his greatest statement was “Blessed are those who have not seen but yet have believed”.
