Summary

When Bartimaeus, who was blind, heard that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by, he cried out for mercy. When Jesus heard this anguished cry, he stopped, called Bartimaeus over and opened his eyes so that he could see! God is waiting to hear the cries of His people, an anguished cry. When that cry goes up to God, we discover what the scriptures tell us, “He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry. As soon as he hears it, he answers you.” Isaiah 30:19  Anguish is a doorway into heaven.
